Commissioned and presented by the Société des arts technologiques (SAT) and Agora de la danse in Montreal. Intérieur will be the first live dance and interactive media performance in the Sensorium, an immersive dome-shaped theater devoted to artistic experimentation combining digital media, live performance, and culinary arts.
Intérieur is an obsessive procession, a world where the unknown wields fascination and disgust, attraction and repulsion. In the attempt to provoke in the spectator a feeling of extreme sensorial empathy, the work combines the experience of an immersive media environment, with gustatory delights and the excitement of a dance performance.
puppet(s)
Last and most complex part of our trilogy about the body as an interface, puppet(s) involves three performers and three choreographers. It is an artistically and technically ambitious project that opens the door to a new form of writing and expression. puppet(s) features a physical, deep and intricate relationship between the spectators and the performers. The framework of the trio allows us to stage parallel scenes simultaneously, by cutting the space into little sectors favoring encounters between the participants.
M.A.P.S.
Media And Performance Salon
M.A.P.S. is a laboratory of exchange for artists who work on the hybridization between live arts and media arts. A series of salons with the duration of two days each will take place between 2010 and 2012. Research residencies are also offered to selected artists.
